Tilt and go
The suitcase is equipped with two intelligent motorized wheels. These motors will kick into action as soon as the weight of your suitcase reaches 7 kilos. By tilting your suitcase (like you would do if you would drag your suitcase regularly) you initiate the engines. According to Live Luggage, the unique design and anti-gravity handle allow 85% of the weight to be carried by the wheels.
Test case
Regardless of the wheels and battery, the suitcase still has room for 94 liters of luggage with a maximum of 32 kilos. Interestingly, the battery can of course be charged at home, but also by walking downhill. Nice thing to do on a day off. The concept seems promising. But I can’t help wondering how my € 885,- suitcase would react to a rough “ride” from the check-in desk to the airplane. Anyway, I’m not going to find out.
